As the IT Director at Octal Philippines Inc., you will be entrusted with shaping our technology strategy to drive the success of our organization in the banking sector. You will oversee all IT operations and strategy implementation, ensuring that our systems and processes meet the highest standards of efficiency, security, and compliance.

Your leadership will guide a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement while effectively managing relationships with stakeholders across the company and the banking industry.

Job Description:

  • Accountable for the overall management and delivery of IT operations and process improvement initiatives, including but not limited to:

o IT Strategy and Governance

o IT Budget and Financial Management

o IT Asset Management and Optimization

o Staffing, Development, and Performance Management of IT Resources

o IT Metrics, Reporting, and Performance Monitoring

o IT Policies, Standards, and Procedures

o Compliance, Audit, and Risk Management

  • Leads divisional activities such as resource planning, personnel development, training, research, and policy review/improvement
  • Directs the supervision, coordination, and evaluation of the division’s employees, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and legal requirements; responsibilities include recruitment, training, performance appraisal, employee development, and addressing concerns and grievances
  • Ensures alignment with organizational goals and compliance with internal policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborates with internal and external auditors during audit exercises and ensures timely resolution of audit findings
  • Identifies and drives process improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus

• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT management, including people leadership and operational oversight

• Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, Systems, and Network Management

• Proven track record in process improvement, continuous improvement, and IT governance

• Experience in the banking industry and familiarity with the Manual of Regulations for Banks (MORB) is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives

• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously
