About the Role

Reporting directly to the Global IT Director, the IT Manager will play a key role in driving technological advancement, ensuring compliance, and aligning IT strategies with our business goals. 

Based in Sydney, this permanent role will focus on optimizing IT workflows, improving system reliability, enhancing user experience, and streamlining IT service delivery for both internal users and external clients. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing IT strategies that support business objectives, enhancing operational performance, and ensuring seamless technology integration across the organization.

Key Responsibilities: 

What a day in the life looks like?

  • Systems and Performance: Ensure IT systems provide optimal functionality, performance, and support for achieving organizational and commercial outcomes. 
  • Application and User Support: Provide system administration, application support, and troubleshooting services in collaboration with vendors and support teams. 
  • Innovation and Cost Efficiency: Identify, recommend, and implement cost-effective, innovative IT solutions to improve existing systems and operations. 
  • Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring successful execution through all stages of the project lifecycle. 
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to provide honest, transparent, and innovative IT advice and solutions. 
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, telecommunications, and cybersecurity measures. 
  • Network Management: Manage and optimize network performance, including experience with Juniper networking technologies. 
  • Security Management: Implement and maintain security best practices, including working with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, SentinelOne, and other security platforms. 
  • External Vendor Management: Work closely with external security vendors to ensure compliance and optimal cybersecurity solutions. 
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop IT teams of approximately 5-10 members while fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. 
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure IT systems adhere to regulatory compliance, cybersecurity standards, and data integrity protocols, including frameworks such as PCI DSS, GDPR, and ISO 27001. 
  • Operational Maintenance: Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and performance tuning to ensure continuous IT system availability and effectiveness. 
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure efficient and quality IT service delivery. 

About You: 

  • Education and Certifications: Degree in IT or related field; certifications like CISSP, ITIL, and Security+ preferred. 
  • Experience: 5+ years in IT management, including project leadership and regulatory compliance, preferably within industries such as entertainment, finance, or healthcare. 
  • Leadership: Proven supervisory skills with strong team management and communication abilities. 
  • Problem-Solving: Expertise in IT strategy, innovation, and aligning technology with business needs. 
  • Customer Service: Skilled in service delivery and vendor management. 
  • Tools: Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, SCADA networks, and Microsoft 365. 
  • Strategic Planning: Capable of creating IT roadmaps and aligning projects with business goals. 
  • Adaptability: Effective in dynamic environments with strong prioritization skills. 

Technical Skills:  

  • Proficient in Windows Server, Azure, AWS, networking, cybersecurity, and VMware/Hyper-V/Proxmox. 
  • Extensive experience in network architecture and administration, with a strong preference for expertise in Juniper networking technologies, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization. 
  • Experience working with EDR tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, SentinelOne, and others. 
  • Proven ability to work with external security vendors to enhance cybersecurity posture.
