Job Title: REGIONAL CONTROLLER

Overview:

The Regional Controller will be a key financial leader within Octal Philippines Inc., responsible for all financial operations across our regional offices. This strategic role encompasses the management of financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and analysis to ensure the company's financial health and alignment with corporate objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to provide insights and support decision-making that drives overall business performance.

• Manages the accounting staff, who are responsible for financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll, and budget preparation.
• Recruits and hires accounting and financial staff and conducts continual performance evaluations with at least annual formal performance reviews.
• Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.
• Seeks process improvement through the use of technology and spotting talented staff.
• Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Oversees preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, fund requests.
• Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
• Works to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalances.
• Files quarterly and annual corporate tax return.
• Audits accounts to ensure compliance with government regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
• Presents recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
• Ensures compliance with and prepares reports according to applicable government regulations.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
